Student Photographic Competition 2024

The competition is open to students in Years 1 to 6 (Primary) and Years 7 to 12 (Secondary) at Australian schools or colleges. Individual entries will be accepted.

Submit your entry using this online form. It must be received by the organisers before 5pm on Friday 30th August 2024. To avoid delays and congestion, submit your entry as early as possible.

To save a partly-completed entry, click ' Save and Complete Later' at the bottom of the form page. You'll be given a special link to re-open the form later.

When you click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form, your entry will be sent to the competition organisers and a copy will be emailed to you. You can't change an entry after submitting it. If you enter again, the new entry will replace all older ones. Your form should include all photos you are entering into the different categories.

All photographs must:

  • have been taken by the entrant within the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra between 30 August 2023 and 30 August 2024

  • feature some aspect of the Gardens, such as plants, wildlife, or scenery

  • not include a person who is recognisable from the image.

An email address is required so the organisers can contact entrants about their entry if necessary. It can belong to a parent, carer or other responsible person. It will be kept confidential, and will not be used for any other purpose nor be given to anyone outside the competition.
